DE/SEMBLE – NEW DIRECTIONS IN JAZZ: CALL FOR ARTISTS no.1

Um den Radar an spannenden Musikprojekten und Instrumentalistinnen zu erweitern, freut sich DE/SEMBLE auf Bewerbungen von Musiker:innen, die Teil von zukünftigen DE/SEMBLE EVENTS sein möchten. DE/SEMBLE möchte neue Wege in der Programmgestaltung und der Instrumentenbesetzung beschreiten und die Zusammenarbeit zwischen (Jazz-) Musiker:innen fördern. Dabei will man Instrumente hervorheben, die normalerweise nicht im Rampenlicht stehen.

Wer kann sich bewerben?

  • Alle Musiker:innen, die in Österreich leben, sind eingeladen, sich mit einer Website und/oder Social Media Accounts, Videomaterial oder Ähnlichem zu präsentieren.
  • DE/SEMBLE ermutigt insbesondere FLINTA*- und BPOC-Musiker:innen, sich zu bewerben. 
  • Bewerbungen eines Soloprojekts bzw. von Instrumentalist:innen sowie von Musikprojekten mit mehreren Musiker:innen sind möglich. 

DE/SEMBLE freut sich auf eure Einsendungen! Der erste Einsendeschluss ist der 28. Februar 2023.

To expand the diversity of the artists at DE/SEMBLE Events, we encourage musicians and future audience members with different backgrounds to add to our pool. DE/SEMBLE aims to break free of restricting practices in programming and cast of musicians in order to cultivate a more inclusive music sphere. We want to foster collaboration between (jazz) musicians and highlight instruments that are usually not in the spotlight.

  • All Austria-based musicians are welcome to present themselves with a website and/or social media, video footage or similar.
  • We especially encourage FLINTA* and BPOC musicians to get in touch.
  • You can apply for yourself AND for a project that involves more musicians.

We are excited to hear your contributions! The first deadline for submissions is February 28th, 2023.
