Der INTERNATIONALE MIKAEL-TARIVERDIEV-ORGELWETTBEWERB findet alle zwei Jahre statt. Er ist der einzige internationale Orgelwettbewerb in Russland und spielt für Organisten eine ähnlich bedeutende Rolle wie der Tschaikowski-Wettbewerb für Pianisten und Violinisten. Er findet von April bis September 2017 in Hamburg, Lawrence (Kansas), Moskau and Kaliningrad statt. Die Deadlines für die Einreichungen sind für Hamburg und Lawrence der 1. März 2017 und für Moskau der 1. Juni 2017.
The Mikael Tariverdiev International Organ Competition is a unique and successfully developing international project launched in Russia in the end of 90-s. Its significance for professional organists can be compared with the role of Tchaikovsky Competition for pianists and violinists. It is held every two years in different cities of the world, including Europe and America, with the final tour taking place in Kaliningrad, the most western Russian city.
The Competition has gained a world-wide popularity attracting professional music communities in Russia, Europe and America. The Eight Competition was held in 2015 and gathered musicians from 33 countries, with maestros of world reputation sitting on the Jury.
The 10th Competition is planned for April-September, 2017. At first, selection round for different groups of participants held in:
- Germany, Hamburg, April 23-28, 2017
- USA, Kansas, May, 1-3, 2017
- Russia, Moscow, August 27-31, 2017
Second, Third Rounds:
September 3-9, 2017, Kaliningrad, Russia
